Sorry I haven’t added to the pile of discourse, I have been tarrying in the background (actually forward of the center row of lecture), bidding my time in order to see if my questions will be answered or rephrased or reflected or deflected or deflated… So this note is not really to ask you anything but to share with you a dream I had. Someone else sent
you a dream (message). I thought I would do similarly.
I remember walking into a low ceilinged, dark lecture room from the left side of the seating. Quietly I was about to sit down after pausing to hear what you were lecturing about when you started to blink and sway. I thought you were about to fall backwards, behind the podium you were lecturing from, when you swayed forward and grabbed a big, brown, leafy, cigar from an ashtray on the table next to the podium. Taking a big puff off of it you staightened up and regained you balance. The entire class responded to the event with ohhhs and my gods. Some one tried to run up and steady you. I began to get upset because I knew (or thought) that you needed a drink of water. I thought the cigar was what was perpetuating your fainting spells.
I don’t quite know what it all means but I thought you might find it interesting because for me the images of this dream have become part of the texts of this course and by writing this message I suppose the link continues to flow and communicate. (I wanted to get in on the generation of multiple understandings, is all.)
See you in section hopefully this next wednesday?
