Discussion Lists, Newsgroups, and related virtual contact points for Classical researchers

As a rule of thumb, when searching for mailing lists (discussion groups over email), I use Liszt, which is a specifically designed search engine, directory, and clearing house for such lists, although Liszt has expanded its scope to include Newsgroups and IRC chats. I found, however, Liszt uncharacteristically unhelpful when it came to ancient philosophy. Most of what I have found below is courtesy of Tom Stone’s Episteme Links. For information on Newsgroups, Deja News is the first surf-stop of choice.
